About the Role
As a Video Editor Intern, the majority of your time will be in the post-production suite, working under the direct mentorship of our Post-Production Supervisor and Directors. This role is designed for a technical creative who wants to refine their craft in a fast-paced agency environment. While the focus is on the edit, you will also spend 10% of your time on-set, gaining a holistic understanding of how production translates to the timeline.
Requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES
Video Editing: Assist in the assembly of social media content, corporate event coverage, and commercial campaigns using Adobe Premiere Pro.
Project Organization: Support the post-production team in logging footage, organizing project files, and preparing timelines for color and sound.
On-Set Support: Serve as a Production Assistant (PA) on shoot days, assisting with gear, logistics, and crafty.
Creative Collaboration: Participate in internal brainstorms and "shadow" senior staff to learn the Bennett Creative workflow.
Versatility: Take advantage of opportunities to operate cameras or assist in other production roles as project needs allow.
REQUIREMENTS
Technical Proficiency: Must be highly proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro.
Equipment: You must own your own laptop capable of handling 4K footage editing.
Professionalism: While this role is not client-facing, we maintain a high standard of professionalism and punctuality within the team. We are not the most casual agency in town.
Availability: 20–40 hours per week for a 3-month duration.
Travel: Ability to occasionally travel out of town for projects.
Bonus Skills: Experience in Motion Graphics or Color Grading is a significant plus.
Must currently be Austin-based
Must have your own laptop
Must have your own car and valid drivers license
Must be legally allowed to work in the United States
Preferred: 4-year college degree or currently enrolled in a 4-year program
COMPENSATION
Pay Rate: $15.00 – $20.00 per hour depending on experience & skills.
Mentorship: Direct access to and shadowing of senior agency team.
Location: Primary work will take place at our Austin office: 708 S. Lamar Blvd, Unit E.
Monthly outings and happy hours paid by company
