About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Social Media Intern to join our team for a 3-month program designed to bridge the gap between entry level skills and high-level agency execution. You will be in the trenches with our senior team, receiving direct educational mentorship from our Director of Social Media and Assistant Directors. Our goal is to train you to the standard of our full-time staff, so that after a successful 90-day sprint, you are prepared to be a professional Social Media Manager at our agency or elsewhere.
Requirements
ROLE DETAILS
Compensation: $15.00 – $20.00 / hour (Non-Exempt).
Schedule: 15 – 20 hours per week.
Duration: 3-month fixed term.
Location: Majority on-site at our Austin office (708 S. Lamar Blvd) with flexible hybrid options.
Reporting to: Director of Social Media.
JOB DUTIES & LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Under the mentorship of our leadership team, you will:
Trend Research: Monitor emerging social media trends and platform updates to ensure our content remains relevant and high-performing.
Content Creation: Draft compelling scripts for diverse video content, ranging from social media clips to commercial campaigns.
Production Assistance: Assist on-set during video and photo shoots, learning the logistics of professional production.
Post-Production: Edit short-form video content in Adobe Premiere Pro and review edits with an eye for detail, creativity, and performance.
Analytics: Assist in running data reports to analyze social media metrics and compile performance insights for our book of clients.
REQUIREMENTS
Technical: You must provide your own laptop capable of smoothly editing 4K footage in Adobe Premiere Pro.
Commitment: A 3-month commitment
Creative Eye: A strong understanding of social media aesthetics and what makes content "stop the scroll."
Communication: Punctuality and professionalism when interfacing with the internal team and occasionally clients.
