JANE ELLEN BRYANT
"Too Smooth" was nominated for Best Austin Video by the Austin Music Video Festival. It also happened to be Dorothy's directorial debut.
Jane Ellen Bryant is one of our favorite Austin musicians, and the subject of many of our live music photos. We were very excited to get a message from her and Art Director Leia Goodpastor this summer about doing a highly stylized studio music video. "Too Smooth" just debuted with Parade Magazine.

We love working with Originator Studios in East Austin, so they were our first thought when shopping studios. A few coats of blue paint later, and we had a fun and unique backdrop for "Too Smooth"

This marks Dorothy Bennett's directorial debut, alongside our longtime friend, John Ruiz, serving at Director of Photography. It involves several setting changes, various wardrobes, a chorus made of Austin's favorite chanteuses (Mariclaire Gamble, Acey Monaro, & Sarah Dossey), a pool boy cameo, and of course an amazing song by Jane, produced by Austin kingmaker Chris "Frenchie" Smith"

It was such a blast working on this project and we hope you enjoy!
